Effects of antisense depletion of LOX-H3 mRNA on wound-induced gene expression. Leaves of nontransformed (WT) and LOX-H3 antisense lines H3-3 (#3) and H3-4 (#4) were wounded and harvested for total RNA extraction at the times indicated above the lanes (in hours). As control, leaves were collected from plants before wounding (c). Northern blots were hybridized with radioactive cDNA probes of the genes indicated on the left. For LOX-H3, an antisense-strand riboprobe was used to specifically detect LOX-H3 mRNA. RNA loading and transfer to the membrane was verified by hybridization with a 18S ribosomal DNA probe (rRNA).
