Conservation of pathogenicity-proven mutations compared with conservation of ‘all mutations’. ‘All mutations’ are all mutation positions identified in the coding regions of the AR. Pathogenicity-proven mutations are only those mutations that have been shown experimentally to have a functional effect, as annotated in the AR mutation database (2). The average conservation of a mutation is directly related to the negative entropy value. The average negative entropy for the entire gene is 3.59 ± 1.53.
