Decreased LCMV GP-specific in situ hybridization signals in spleens of mutant mice. C57BL/6, RAG2−/−, TNF-α−/−, LTα−/−, and TNF-α−/− LTα−/− mice were infected with 500 PFU of LCMV-WE i.v., and spleens were harvested 4 days later. Cryosections of spleens were used for hybridization with an RNA probe specific for LCMV GP mRNA.
