PD-L1 and PD-L2 induction depend on transcription and translation. PD-L1 is turned over rapidly after activation with LPS + IFN-γ. Thioglycolate-induced macrophages were activated with LPS + IFN-γ and IL-4 in the presence or absence of actinomycin D (1 μg/ml) or cycloheximide (10 μg/ml) and harvested at various time points.
