The aqueous phase contained 1 M KCl, 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), and 100 ng of protein/ml. The membranes were formed from PC-PS (molar ratio, 4:1) dissolved in n-decane. The temperature was 20°C. Mean values for at least four experiments are shown.
