COS-7 cells were transiently transfected with 2 μg of LPGAT1 expression plasmid and the indicated amount of hCLS1 expression plasmid (0.0–4.5 μg), and incubated in the presence of 0.16 mM [¹⁴C]oleoyl-CoA for 24 h at 37 °C. Total lipids were then extracted from the cultured COS-7 cells and subjected to TLC analysis as described in the Materials and methods section. FFA, non-esterified fatty acid; CL, cardiolipin.
