The incorporation of UL49 into virions is blocked in the simultaneous absence of gE-gI and gM. Western blot analysis of purified virions of wild-type PrV-Ka (lanes 1), PrV-gE/I− (lanes 2), PrV-gM− (lanes 3), and PrV-gE/I/M− (lanes 4) compared to whole-cell lysates of virus-infected cells was carried out.
