In the left panel, full-length cDNA to PIM3 hybridizes to two transcripts in the human tumor samples. Hybridization of a probe created from the 5′ portion of PIM3 (a sequence unique to this PIM family member) to RNA from TC32 and TC71 cells displays specific binding to the smaller transcript. Ethidium staining of the RNA prior to transfer is shown as loading controls.
