In the left panel, full-length cDNA to PIM3 hybridizes to two transcripts in the human tumor samples. Hybridization of a probe created from the 5′ portion of PIM3 (a sequence unique to this PIM family member) to RNA from TC32 and TC71 cells displays specific binding to the smaller transcript.
