Effect of GIT1 overexpression on agonist-promoted internalization of the EGF receptor. HEK 293 cells and GIT1 stably overexpressing cells were transiently transfected with the EGF receptor. Wild-type cells overexpressing the EGF receptor were also transiently transfected with dyn K⁴⁴A. Cells were stimulated with EGF for 20 min, and EGF receptor internalization was assayed as described in Materials and Methods.
