Expression of ENaC subunits determined by RT-PCR. RT-PCR was performed on RNA extracted from kidney (K) and lung (L) from wild-type (+/+), heterozygote (+/−), and homozygous-deficient (−/−) pups. The primers used to specifically detect each subunit are described in Materials and Methods. As a control, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) mRNA was amplified from each sample.
