Developmental Northern blot analysis of LjNPP2C1 gene expression. Two micrograms of poly(A)+ mRNA isolated from uninoculated roots, harvested 7, 11, and 21 days after sowing, and roots harvested from L. japonicus plants 7 and 11 dai, as well as 21-day-old nodules were analyzed. The blot was sequentially probed with the radiolabeled LjNPP2C1 cDNA, the LjN77 EST corresponding to an L. japonicus leghemoglobin gene (8) and the S. rostrata ubiquitin cDNA as a loading control.
