CYP71A10-mediated metabolism of phenylurea
herbicides. Shown are thin-layer chromatograms of
14C-radiolabeled fluometuron, linuron, chlortoluron, and
diuron and their respective metabolites after incubation of the
radiolabeled herbicides with yeast microsomes containing the CYP71A10
protein. Initial substrate concentrations for fluometuron, linuron,
chlortoluron, and diuron were 5.2, 6.5, 4.0, and 3.7 μM,
respectively. P, parent compound; M, metabolite.
