A single-scan frequency-dependent dielectric spectrum of an erythrocyte in solution acquired in 125 ms. A 20-Vpp applied waveform was modulated between a reference frequency of 50 kHz, and a test frequency varied from 250 kHz to 1950 kHz (indicated by the vertical bars), as illustrated in Fig. 5. The DEP spectrum is shown as the difference in phase shift relative to the 50-kHz reference frequency. Error bars represent the standard deviation of approximately seven points at each frequency, consistent with the data shown in Fig. 5.
