The fusidic acid MIC was >256 mg/liter for 1 pretreatment isolate of 88 (metronidazole group). The metronidazole MICs of all the above and other isolates tested (n = 139) were <1 (median, 0.125; range, 0.016 to 0.5) mg/liter.
