Immunofluorescence was used to visualize N protein in cells transfected with a construct expressing wild-type N protein (wtN), pictured on the left (a granular pattern was observed in 98% of the cells). Truncation mutant N51-429 is shown in the center (granular pattern in 94% of cells), and N78-429 is on the right (diffuse pattern in 12% of cells).
