Amplification of tax and LTR regions in blood donors. All 522- and 394-bp fragments were amplified from the tax and LTR regions of HTLV-1 genome, respectively. PCR products were electrophoresed in a 1.5% agarose gel, stained in ethidium bromide and photographed.
