(a) Inhibition by a sheep anti-murine TNFα serum (50 μl paw−1) of the hyperalgesic effects of BK (500 ng), kallidin (500 ng), DABK (500 ng) and murine TNFα (2.5 pg). Anti-murine TNFα serum (hatched columns) or pre-immune control serum (open columns) was injected into paws to be injected with one of the four hyperalgesic agents, 30 min before the hyperalgesic agent. (b) Effect of DALBK (2.0 μg paw−1) on the hyperalgesic responses to TNFα (2.5 pg), IL-8 (0.1 ng) and PGE2 (100 ng). DALBK (2 μg paw−1) was injected into paws to be injected with one of the three hyperalgesic agents, 30 min before the hyperalgesic agent. Hyperalgesia was measured 3 h after injection of hyperalgesic agents. Vertical bars are s.e.means in groups of five animals.
