BK Induces inositol phosphate accumulation in PS cells. (A) PS cell monolayers were labeled with [3H]-inositol for 16 h and then stimulated in serum free medium containing vehicle, BK or [des-Arg10]KD for 90 min. Incorporation of [3H] into inositol phosphates was determined. Data are represented as the mean fold stimulation over vehicle control±s.e.mean for four independent experiments performed in sextuplicate. *P<0.05 compared to vehicle alone. (B) PS cell monolayers were labelled with 3H-inositol for 16 h and then stimulated in serum free medium containing vehicle, BK (10−8M), BK (10−8M) plus [des-Arg9Leu8]BK (5×10−8M) or BK (10−8M) plus Hoe 140 (5×10−8M) for 90 min. Incorporation of [3H] into inositol phosphates was determined. Data are represented as the mean fold stimulation over control±s.e.mean for four independent experiments performed in sextuplicate. *P<0.001 compared to vehicle alone.
