The enrichment of HepG2 cells with α-tocopherol. Cells were incubated for 24 h at 37°C in media containing the indicated initial concentrations of α-tocopherol. After 24 h, the vitamin content of the cells (●, left y-axis scale) and the concentration of α-tocopherol remaining in the media (○, right y-axis scale) were measured by HPLC as described in Methods and materials.
