Left halves of mandibula and larynx removed; rostral and caudal tube-like spaces between thyroid cartilage and resilient cushion damaged by the section; cricoid lamina broken by bullet. Large laryngeal entrance and vestibule. The caudally directed bow-like vocal fold is thick and tough and lacks any rostrally directed flexible structures. It is supported by a cymbal-like fibroelastic pad. Scale bar = 50 mm.
