Effects (mean±s.e.mean) of i.v. infusions of fenoldopam, R(−)-propylnorapomorphine or equivalent volumes of vehicle (0.9% NaCl) on cardiac output (CO), mean arterial pressure (MAP), mean circulatory filling pressure (MCFP), heart rate (HR), arterial resistance (R_a) and venous resistance (R_v) in three groups of rats (n=6 each) pre-treated with i.v. mecamylamine (3.7 μmol kg⁻¹) and noradrenaline (6.8 nmol kg⁻¹ min⁻¹). All measurements were obtained at 8 min after the start of an infusion of a drug or vehicle. ^*Significantly different (P<0.05) from the corresponding values in the vehicle group.
