Leukocyte adherence to post-capillary mesenteric venules of normal and L-NAME-induced hypertensive rats before and during superfusion of the vessels with N-formyl-methionine-leucine-phenylalanine (FMLP; 5 μM) or vehicle. In both groups, the levels of leukocyte adherence were significantly elevated (P<0.05) over basal levels at all times after starting the superfusion with FMLP.
