The effect of PLA₂, MEK and MAPK inhibitors on EGF stimulated ³H-AA release from A549 cells. Cells were pre-incubated either with sPLA₂ inhibitor ONO-RS-82, iPLA₂ inhibitor HELSS, cPLA₂ inhibitor AACOCF₃, p38 MAPK inhibitor SB 203580, MEK inhibitor PD 98059 or with ERK inhibitor apigenin for 3 h, prior to stimulation by EGF (10 nM) for 30 min. The data are presented as mean±s.e.mean, expressed as per cent inhibition of ³H-AA release relative to EGF stimulation of 41%±4% above control values. ^*P<0.05, ^**P<0.01, ^***P<0.001 inhibition compared to EGF stimulation.
