Nifedipine has only a small effect on nerve evoked constrictions. Typical responses in medium (a) and large (b) arteries. Nifedipine (1 μM) has little effect, both when applied alone, and when prazosin (0.1 μM) is first applied to block the adrenergic component of constriction.
