Effect of SIN-1 on COX-2 expression in the presence of different endothelial cell activators. HUVEC were incubated for 6 h with two different concentrations of SIN-1 in the absence or presence of 5 nM PMA, 25 u ml⁻¹ IL-1α or 100 u ml⁻¹ TNFα. COX-2 expression was evaluated as indicated in the legend of Figure 1. The effect of TNFα was studied in a different set of experiments. Results are representative of three different experiments.
