Effect of ouabain on quercetin-induced I_k (a) and G_t (b) in rat distal colon mucosa after apical permeabilization with nystatin. Nystatin (200 mg l⁻¹) was added to the mucosal side at time 0 in the presence of a serosally directed K⁺ gradient. Since the voltage clamp was saturated directly after this manoeuvre, data up to 30 min after the addition of nystatin are not indicated. Either ouabain (Ou, 1 mM serosal) or vehicle was added at the time indicated. Both groups received quercetin (Q, 100 μM serosal) at the time indicated. n=7 for ouabain group and for control group.
