The inhibitory effects of resveratrol and analogues on lipid peroxidation in LDL induced by copper ion. LDL (100 μg ml⁻¹) was preincubated with DMSO alone (0.1% final) or with same concentration of DMSO containing appropriate amount of either resveratrol or analogues (10 μM final) at 37°C for 10 min, copper sulphate (5 μM) was then added, and further incubated for 12 h.
