Effects of DHA (A), EPA (B) and arachidonic acid (C) on IL-1β-induced NO production by VSMCs. Cells were stimulated with 3 ng ml⁻¹ IL-1β for 48 h in the absence or the presence of various concentrations of each fatty acid. NO was determined as nitrite/nitrate, and designated as NOx.
