Intraplantar injection of celecoxib. In these experiments, celecoxib (300 μg) was given locally, i.e., into the footpad, 30 min before the carrageenan. Hyperalgesia was completely prevented and the nociceptive threshold raised above normal for at least 4 h, returning to baseline by 24 h.
