Basal and forskolin-induced cAMP content in ventricular myocytes of control, Ovx, and Ovx+E2 rats. (a) Basal cAMP content and (b) concentration-related effect of forskolin. Cells were challenged with 100 nM to 0.1 mM forskolin for 10 min and cAMP was extracted and measured. All measurements were made in the absence of phosphodiesterase inhibitor.
