The effect of plant growth regulators on gene expression in tnp. A, Semiquantitative RT-PCR analysis using RNA extracted from pls and tnp seedlings 1 to 2 d postgermination. Seedlings were grown on 1/2× MS 10 medium (control) or 1/2× MS 10 supplemented with 10 nm 2,4-D, 10 nm paclobutrazol, 100 nm BA, or 10 μm GA. The top section shows LEC1 amplification products and the bottom section shows amplification of the ACT1 control. Control experiments lacking reverse transcriptase showed no amplification products (data not shown).
