The wild-type strain BY4733 (A, C, and E) and a HIS3 derivative of this strain lacking the YGR077C ORF (B, D, and F) were each modified so as to express PTS1-GFP (A and B), PTS2–GFP (C and D), and PMP–GFP (E and F).
