Serial dilutions (10-fold) of yeast cell suspensions were spotted on YPD plates supplemented or not with 1.8 mM diamide or 5 mM hydrogen peroxide. Plates were incubated at 30°C for 2 to 5 days. (B) Genes of the pentose phosphate pathway are required for proper growth in the presence of oxidative agents. The growth assay was performed as described for panel A.
