Lower two traces: Waveforms seen with excitation by a pair of phase-locked pulses. For Δφ = 0, the coherent excitation strongly enhances the THz emission, for Δφ = π, the interference is destructive and the THz emission starts at the arrival of the first pulse, but is almost completely quenched by the second one (7).
