^aMice were immunized either s.c. or i.n. Two doses of vaccine were given 4 weeks apart. Mice were challenged intranasally 4 weeks after the second dose. Sera were collected from five mice of each group at 4 weeks after the dose, 4 weeks after the second dose, and 1 week after challenge and from 18 to 20 mice of each group at 8 weeks after challenge. The data are expressed in OD units.
