Protein aggregation in larvae of B. antarctica maintained at 4°C or exposed to various environmental stressors. Larvae maintained low levels of protein aggregates after freezing, anoxia, or a mild heat shock. Protein aggregation increased only after a longer (2-h) heat shock. ∗ indicates a significant difference relative to the control (one-way ANOVA with Dunnett's test).
