Basal pH_i was 7.14±0.04, 7.12±0.04, 7.18±0.03 and 7.17±0.05 in the groups subsequently exposed to 5, 10, 20 and 30 mM NH₄Cl respectively (n=6 cells/group). Maximal acidification obtained following NH₄Cl washout (dotted line) was 6.83±0.06, 6.64±0.03, 6.61±0.07 and 6.50±0.07 for 5, 10, 20 and 30 mM respectively.
