Among the seven patients with endophthalmitis, one had concomitant septic pulmonary emboli, prostate abscess, and renal abscess, one had concomitant septic pulmonary emboli, and epidural abscess, and one had concomitant necrotizing fasciitis on left index finger.
Two patients had only septic pulmonary emboli, and two patients with ventilator-dependent respiratory failure also had metastatic infections.
