The deduced 158-amino-acid sequence of the baboon herpesvirus DNA polymerase gene was aligned with the sequences listed below using ClustalX version 1.81 and then analyzed using the protein distance and neighbor-joining methods in MEGA 2.1. Shown is the consensus dendrogram tree computed from 100 bootstrap iterations. Similar results were seen using maximum parsimony analysis including 100 bootstrap replicates.
