^aDenatured rhodanese (90 nM final concentration) was incubated at 37°C for 1 h alone or together with ClpL in the presence of 2 mM ATP. The activity of the refolded enzyme was measured after 30 min of incubation at 25°C and is expressed as a percentage of the activity of the same amount of native enzyme incubated at 25°C under the same conditions.
