Transfer of the reverse phenotype to class E transregulators. HeLa cells were transiently cotransfected with plasmid pUHC13-3 carrying the luciferase gene under P_tet-1 control and plasmids encoding the indicated transactivators. Cells were grown in the absence (–) or presence (+) of 5 µg/ml dox. Luciferase activity was determined from cell extracts after 24 h. Values represent the means of triplicate samples with standard deviations given in arbitrary light units (ALU) per microgram of total cell protein.
