Figure 3

Upregulation of iNOS expression and NO generation in LPS-activated BV-2 microglia. Twenty-four hours after LPS stimulation, intense DAF-2DA green fluorescence can be detected in the BV-2 microglia under a fluorescent microscope (B), indicating a significant increase in NO generation, compared with slightly green color in the cells without LPS stimulation (A). In concert with the DAF-2DA reaction, iNOS protein expression detected in the Western blot is induced in the BV-2 microglia 24 h after LPS stimulation (inset). The similar β-actin bands are omitted from the picture.
