Survival of C. albicans 3153A biofilm and exponential- and stationary-phase cells. Biofilms were cultured in RPMI medium for 48 h, scraped, vortexed, resuspended in 100 μl PBS, and plated for CFU determination. Exponential- and stationary-phase cultures were obtained by growth in the same medium. The experiment was performed in triplicate, and the error bars represent standard deviations.
