Spinning disk confocal microscopy. Aligned arrays of moving pinholes and microlenses scan a field of view in one camera exposure, giving lateral and axial resolutions typical of standard confocal microscopy (the densities of the arrays are much higher than shown). The image of a point source can then be approximated by a product of Gaussians (Eq. 3) and standard FCS analysis can be applied to each pixel time series.
