(A) Mouse liver mitochondria were subjected to osmotic shock with sucrose in the presence and absence of proteinase K and separated by centrifugation. Upper panel, mitoplasts (P) are separated from the soluble IMS (S); lower panel, mitoplasts are recovered by centrifugation.
