Constitutive expression of MIC-1 protects PALA-treated cells lacking p53. (A) Analysis of MIC-1 and p21 mRNA expression. The Northern blot method was used. Fold protection was calculated by dividing the number of colonies formed in p53- or MIC-1-expressing cells by the number formed in parental p53-null cells.
