[¹⁴C]HePC efflux. Wild-type (solid circles) and HePC-R (open circles) parasites were preincubated with [¹⁴C]HePC at 28°C as described in Materials and Methods, and the decay in radioactivity was monitored at different times (15, 40, and 60 min). The data are expressed as the percentage of the initial amount of [¹⁴C]HePC incorporated (in counts per minute per microgram of protein) and represent the means ± standard errors of three independent experiments, each of which was performed in duplicate.
