Cohesin-dockerin interaction assay. Recombinant Rgl11Y was recovered from the soluble fraction of E. coli cell extracts, purified by Ni2+-affinity chromatography, loaded on SDS-10% acrylamide gels, transferred to a nitrocellulose membrane, and probed with a cohesin-containing protein (miniCipC1) labeled by biotinylation (32).
