Mobility shift assays were performed with pure His6-CpxR and the DIG-labeled icmR regulatory region in the presence (+) and absence (−) of 100 fmol of the unlabeled icmR regulatory region (Comp. DNA) or acetyl phosphate (Ac-P). Each lane contains 10 fmol of the DIG-labeled probe and the amount of His6-CpxR (pmol) is indicated above each lane. Lane 1 contains 50 pmol of BSA.
