Single pressure application (5 μm, 150 ms) of maxadilan (arrow) resulted in a slow membrane depolarization and increase in the frequency of F-EPSPs and APs. The bottom panel shows expanded time scales of the portions of the recording of the upper panel (dashed lines). These results show that maxadilan, a selective agonist of PAC1-R, mimics the action of PACAP27 on guinea pig IMG neurones.
